The procedure
As everyone is individual, with individual needs a bespoke consultation and face mapping is undertaken for anyone that is wishing to consider treatment. During the consultation any problem areas, the desired improvements, the options available and the expected outcomes will be discussed thoroughly for you to the be able to make an informed choice about what your next step may be with regards to having treatment.
Once a treatment plan and suitability has been agreed, Botox® can then be administered into the muscles placing the product with key points that are selected based on the face mapping and results desired. You may find that some injections are placed in areas that you may not think are related to the areas of concern that you wish to be treated. Rest assured that this will be fully explained to you prior to treatment, as often there will be key areas that need to be treated too, that impact on the areas concerned in order to achieve that desired outcome.
Botox® injections are in general painless and therefore requires no anaesthetic before hand, but for those very sensitive skins there is always some anaesthetic cream available by your request.
Botox® usually takes approx 10- 14 days to take the full effect, you may see some change to the skin much sooner but the treatment will still be developing for the full 14 days.
